Who it is for

Built for how your
team actually works.

Triage the morning before it starts.

What is overdue, what is on the calendar, what moved yesterday — one question instead of four tabs. Kato reads your tasks, your meetings and the workspace activity feed.

what do I need to deal with today?

Today

It already knows
where everything is.

Tasks

What is open, what is overdue, who owns it.

Meetings

Your schedule, agendas and who attended.

Clients

Records, linked work and interaction history.

Email

Your synced Gmail threads. Only ever yours.

Time

Logged hours against the work that bills.

The web

Only after you approve it, always with sources.

Context

It does not guess
where your context lives.

A general assistant starts from nothing every time you open it. Kato starts from your workspace — the clients, the work attached to them, and the tools you already connected.

One dossier, not one table.

Ask about a client and Kato does not run a single lookup. It joins the record and its fields, everything linked to it, your threads with them and the recent activity into one bundle — with the workspace sources kept attached so you can verify it.

Give me the full Northlane picture.

Pin the context yourself.

Mention a person, a task or a record with @ and it goes into the question. Up to ten per message, and every one is re-checked against your access on the server before Kato reads it.

Thought through 1 step

I can summarize the handoff, but adding the exact record or task gives Kato the clearest possible context.

Your tools come with it.

GitHub, Vercel, Railway, Supabase, Convex, Ahrefs, Loops, TrustMRR, Timely, Google Calendar and Gmail. Connect them once and they answer questions instead of sitting in another tab.

Real answers.
Nothing invented.

Answers are read out of your actual tasks, meetings and records — not recalled from a model's memory. When Kato cannot back something up, it says so instead of writing around it.

It cites what it read.

Dossier answers carry numbered evidence — click a citation and it scrolls to the source, with the date it came from.

It admits the gaps.

When the workspace does not hold the answer, Kato marks the answer partial and lists what is still missing rather than filling it in.

Web sources are checked.

If a proposed field cannot be traced back to a page from the search you approved, Kato drops the field and tells you it did.

Are we ready to launch Northlane?
Thought through 4 steps

Not yet. Sign-off on the rollout plan has been open since Tuesday's implementation review, and production credentials are two days overdue.

Access

An assistant you can leave alone with your client data.

Your mailbox is yours.

Kato searches the Gmail threads synced to your account and nobody else's. There is no tool that reads another member's mail.

Scoped to the workspace.

Every tool is bound to the workspace you are asking from. Kato cannot reach across into another workspace you belong to, and switching workspaces switches the context with it.

Records respect access.

Building a client dossier checks your access to the record first, and pulls only the tasks you own or are assigned to and the meetings you were actually in.

It proposes.
You decide.

Fill in Northlane's missing details.

Prepared record update

Update person

NLNorthlane Logistics
AttributeNew value

Record updates arrive as a proposal.

Kato cannot write the change — the tool that suggests it has no ability to save. You tick the fields you want and hit update, or discard the lot. Secrets, API keys and primary fields are never proposed at all.

Find Northlane's latest employee count.

Waiting for permission

Search the public web?

Kato needs your permission to search for “Northlane Logistics employee count”.

It asks before it leaves the workspace.

Searching the public web needs your say-so. Allow it once, allow it always, or turn it off — and if you say no, Kato answers with what your workspace already holds rather than guessing.

The same rule holds everywhere it could act on your behalf: a transactional email comes back as a draft you send, never as an email Kato already sent.

What happens when you ask.

01

You ask

"What changed across my workspace?"

02

It thinks

Picks the tools it needs and says how many steps it took.

03

It reads

Runs those tools against your workspace, in the open — you can watch each one land.

04

It answers

A written answer plus the records or tasks themselves, not a wall of text.

Kato turns scattered activity into a brief you can scan in seconds, while the trace shows exactly which workspace sources it checked.

Give me a summary of the most recent activity across my workspace, including any updates, new records, or key changes.

From one person's
habit to the whole team.

Every workspace starts with a library of prompts already in it. Save your own, and the good ones spread — anyone on the team can pick one up instead of working out the wording themselves.
